Métis Nation BC – YETI (Youth Employment & Training Initiative
The Ministry of Youth at Métis Nation British Columbia (MNBC) is excited to introduce the Youth Employment & Training Initiative (Y.E.T.I.), a virtual summer program that supports Métis youth in exploring career and post-secondary pathways, developing career readiness skills, and building confidence for their future.
While employment readiness is a key component, Y.E.T.I. is much more than a job search program.
It’s an interactive learning opportunity to support youth who want to:
- Explore their strengths, skills, values, and interests
- Learn about career and post-secondary pathways
- Build confidence and self-awareness
- Develop practical skills for career readiness, networking, interviews, and résumé building
- Connect with other Métis youth across British Columbia
- Participate in interactive workshops, coaching sessions, cultural learning opportunities, and guided career exploration activities
The program is particularly well-suited for students who are beginning to think about their future, preparing for post-secondary education, seeking part-time employment, or exploring potential career options.
Participants who successfully complete the program will also receive a stipend of $50 per day (up to $650 total) based on attendance and program completion.
