Grade level specific beadwork project that focusses on using Métis style beading techniques.

Learn about, make, and taste pemmican. Students will work through a series of stations to make pemmican and have the opportunity to taste pre-made pemmican, or to try the pemmican they made at a later date.

A brief Art Alleries tour that highlights artwork by Sinixt artist Ric Gendron. Then a short walk down to the Revelstoke Museum for a guided tour of the exhibit, "Sinixt: People of the Place of the Bull Trout". 

Teachers can book the Lodge (Tipi) to use with their class. It is helpful to know how to adjust the flaps depending on the weather and you will need the key for the propane tank if you would like to use the fire pit.

A nature walk and scavenger hunt through the trails at 6 mile. Students will be introduced to the works of Dr. Robin Wall Kimmerer and will learn about the principles of the Honourable Harvest and Reciprocity at a grade appropriate level.

Each year the SD 19 Indigenous Education Department creates a REDress art installation at the lodge beside the School Board Office.

The Art Alleries installations provide our community with so many opportunities to interact with progressive, socially-conscious art. This tour of the Art Alleries will feature stops to highlight the works of Ric Gendron, Delrée Dumont, and Zuzana Rhia.
